New Mugs!

I’m pleased to introduce a new line of coffee and travel mugs designed for Housewares International’s Blue Harbor Collection. I love how these mugs turned out! I think you will too. There are eight sets in all with lots of wonderful colors for each set. You can find them at HomeGoods and TJ Maxx stores. (Post a photo if you see them in a store near you!)mugs_slider

Love design on my mug I got for Christmas! It’s the tall ceramic sea foam green one with flowers and silicon lid. Just one question, is it microwave safe?

      Hi Karen,

Bummer about your mug. Unfortunately they’re not available online right now. Which one was it? I’ll see what I can do to get you a replacement.

i happily found one of your mugs at TJ Maxx and I would like to buy more. Where are they for sale? I am interested in the “blues collection” or the “vines” ones. I am searching online to no avail.

Hi Melissa, I responded to your email quite awhile back but it’s not showing up here so I’ll try again. You might be able to find the mugs at HomeGoods or try Old Time Pottery if you live in the southeastern U.S.

      Thanks for your interest!

Thanks Cathy! I’m not a coffee drinker but I love the shape of the travel mugs so I use mine for keeping a big glass of water at my desk. Enjoy your mug!

    Hi Kris,
I just got 4 of your 20 oz. mugs at an Anna’s Linens store. I had a merchandise credit and roamed the store for about 30 minutes thinking there was nothing I would find. I finally spotted your mugs high on a shelf and grabbed them up! They are so whimsical and joyful. I’m going back today to get two more! Thanks.

Hi Toni, Love to hear that story! Thanks for sharing it. Soon I’ll be launching a shop section to this site where you can purchase mugs, paper partyware, tote bags, etc. Check back in a month or so and I should have it up and running. Or subscribe if you’d like to get an email about the launch. In the meantime, enjoy your mugs!

      Hi Jan,

Sorry for the delayed response. Somehow I missed your comment. Glad you found a mug that works well for you! Unfortunately there isn’t an online retailer for the mugs at this point. HomeGoods carries them, but I’ve found they’re not always on the shelf. Also, there will be a major grocery store carrying them beginning next spring but I’m not at liberty to disclose them yet. But I’ll mention it on my blog, so if you want to subscribe you’ll have the info as soon as I can share it. Thanks.

Really love these mugs! I’m wondering if you know what the lids are made of – rubber or silicone? Thank you!

Thanks Christina! The lids are silicone. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I too came here trying to find out if the mugs i purchased are microwave safe (Blue Poppies from the Blue Harbor Collection). I love them so much, i bought 6 from 2 different stores!

    Also, why is hand-washing recommended?

    Thank you!

Hi Amber, Thanks for your comment — it’s always a treat to hear from people who enjoy my artwork. I think the hand-washing recommendation is a standard disclaimer. The artwork is applied to the mug as a decal that’s baked on during the firing process. Conceivably, the heat from the dishwasher could fade or damage the decal but I’ve washed mine in the dishwasher many times and haven’t noticed any ill-affects. Hope that helps.

I have a new kitchen, and I’ve been looking for coffee mugs that would fit the decor and my usual morning mood (happy), but I was having trouble finding just the right style. Found your poppy collection at Olde Time Pottery just yesterday, and they are perfect. I was being pretty anal about my search, but the second I saw these I knew I had what I wanted. An earlier poster called them “joyous” and I must agree. When I picked the first one up I told my friend, “This just makes me smile.” So, thank you, and I wish you much success.

Hi Peggy, What a nice comment! It made my day! So glad you found my mugs and they make you smile. And I love that you wake up in a happy mood — I’m still trying to cultivate that. :-) Thanks for taking the time to seek out my website and leave a comment. I really appreciate it.

I just discovered your poppy collection at my Kroger and I’m ecstatic. After a long search for coffee mugs that suit my kitchen and my personality and my desire for a “set” of cups that are not mundane, I am thrilled to have the poppy mugs in 4 different colors, creating a “set” with variety that bring color, warmth, and smiles to my kitchen decor and my mornings.
